Hello Everyone,
Carol and I will be off on another travel adventure, tomorrow (Monday) morning. This time we’re heading west, continuously, for 4 weeks, until we’re back in Seattle again. It’ll be our first trip all the way around the world.
We’re starting off in Seoul South Korea, for about a week. Carol has a story assignment there, reporting on Korean Tea Houses for Virtuoso Life Magazine. And…… yes, it is one of those stories where we just “have” to stay in one of Virtuoso’s 5 star hotels so she can have the correct perspective when she’s writing her story. 😉
After Seoul we head west again, by air, to Tashkent, Uzbekistan, where we’ll spend a couple of weeks exploring the secrets of:
- Staying in a Yurt Camp and with a local village family
- Understanding how to respect the precious and holy bread.
- And, I hope, another camel ride, which I’m looking forward to.
For our final week we’ll continue by air, west across the Caspian Sea to Baku, Azerbaijan and then on to Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates, before we head home.
If the gods of the Internet favor us, we will both be reporting along the way. As some of you know, Carol has already posted a bit of background information in her blog, and I have placed the first picture in our photo gallery, a map of our journey. So, stay tuned. We’ll be back soon.
