Hello Everyone,
Carol and I will be heading out on our Spring travel adventure Wednesday. This time we are headed for the Amalfi Coast of Italy, before heading north to the Baltics……. Riga, Latvia and Tallinn, Estonia.
Carol got a nice travel writing assignment, from a high end travel magazine she has been freelancing for (Virtuoso Life), to explore and write about Amalfi. We’ll be there for 6 days, at two different locations, trying out some fancy hotels and restaurants (well……. somebody has to do it).Carol will actually be working, while I get to “supervise” and provide moral and tech support. We’re also spending a couple of days in Naples and Rome, just to make sure that the quality of the Gelato has not diminished since our last visit.
After Italy, we’ll fly off to Riga, Latvia for a few days, followed by along distance bus ride to Tallinn, Estonia before heading back home. Both countries were part of the former Soviet Union, but now hang with the European Union. We have never been to this part of the world before, so we’re hoping for some unusual experiences.
If the gods of the Internet favor us, and Putin doesn’t decide to invade while we are there, we’ll try to bring you some interesting words and photos as we go. I’ve set up my usual Photo Gallery and Carol will be blogging as well at her usual Travel Blog address.
